Charlotte DiFranco grew up on Cleveland’s east side. She graduated from Brush High School and earned a BA in Communications with a Concentration in Broadcasting from The University of Toledo. Charlotte broadcasting career began at WMMS, 100.7FM, from intern to Promotions Coordinator. In 2004, joined WDJQ/Q92.5FM in Canton as Promotions Director. In 2006 Charlotte became co-host of the station’s morning drive show. The show achieved 1st place ratings. A contract dispute in 2012 resulted in DiFranco and her morning drive partner resigning to form an Internet radio station. When the WDJQ threatened litigation over a non-compete clause, the Stark County Court of Common Pleas ruled in a landmark case that Internet radio was not the same platform as terrestrial radio.
